Joshua Rand Loope was born on March 8, 1974, in Monroe, Michigan. He was the son of Faye (Johnson) Loop and Johnny Loop Jr. He graduated from Monroe High School with the Class of 1992.

Joshua had a remarkable talent for fixing things. He spent many years in Florida employed as an electrician. He had an uncanny knack to problem solve any household issue. His last employment was something he really loved at Bay Corrugated. Outside of work, Joshua was known for his love of grilling, particularly steak and hamburgers, which he shared with family and friends during joyful gatherings. An avid fan of the television show Seinfeld, he could effortlessly quote episodes to illustrate life's ups and downs, bringing laughter to those around him.

He was devoted to his family, as a son, brother, and uncle. As an uncle, he embraced his role with enthusiasm, always being a source of fun and endless candy. He shared a special connection with his nephew Jonathan, who was a steadfast presence in his life. He had a special bond with his Aunt Brenda whom he loved dearly.

Joshua Rand Loope, aged 50, of Monroe passed away peacefully surrounded by family at his home on Wednesday; November 13, 2024 after a year long courageous battle with many health issues. His passing was preceded by that of a brother, Jonathan Loop and grandparents, J.B. and Edith Loope, Boyd Johnson and Anna Talsma.

To cherish his memory, Joshua leaves his loving parents: Faye Loop and Johnny (MaryAnne) Loop; two siblings: Jennifer Freeman and Jake (Hannah) Loop; nephews: Jonathan Freeman and Finney Loop; and niece: Liberty Loop.

A private family celebration of Joshua’s life will be held at Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe. His care is entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe; 14567 South Dixie Highway, Monroe, Michigan 48161 (734) 241-7070.  A procession will follow services to Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle for burial.
